The Seattle Public Library hosts online book discussion group beginning Nov. 1
Like to read but too busy to join a book group? Are you a night owl who wants to talk about books? Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 1, The Seattle Public Library will host Book Chat, an online book discussion group.
Book Chat is a virtual book discussion in a blog-style format hosted on the Library's website (www.spl.org). To find Book Chat, select "Library Collection" from the top menu, then "Books, Movies & Music" on the left. No formal registration is required to participate in Book Chat, just a name and email address.
The first Book Chat discussion will feature "Cutting for Stone" by Abraham Verghese from Tuesday, Nov. 1 through Monday, Nov. 28. Extra copies of the book will be available at the Ballard, Columbia, Northeast and West Seattle branches and the Central Library while supplies last.
Book Chat is made possible by a grant from the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation with support from The Seattle Public Library Foundation.
